Kellee's 1st Dance Recital

Kellee was so excited about her first dance recital. It was a very informal event, where she could show some of what she was learning. It was supposed to have been held on Monday, the 15th of December, but just as we were walking out the door, the studio called to say their power was out, so the show would be postponed until Friday, the 20th.

Kellee was so disappointed, but had Friday to look forward to. We all went to her show and she was so cute and excited to dance and cheer. We all laughed when she kept getting distracted, but it was so adorable. She was very proud of herself. She was even more happy when her teacher gave her a goodie bag of treats afterwards. Marshel liked it so much, he said he wants to be in dance. We'll see how long that interest lasts!

Kellee's Cheer: One thing is for sure...you can definitely hear her!

This is so cute...notice how easily she gets distracted...We were all telling her to watch the teacher, because the dance was much more than just the one move, but she was in a trance for much of it...until she notices the skin tag on her finger! We laugh every time we watch this!

Christmas Cookies

Decorating Christmas cookies turned out to be a lot of fun. Everyone got into it. Mom made a beach chick, complete with thong (no, not flip flops). We probably ate more frosting than went on the cookies, and Kellee would be the queen of sprinkles. Marshel was very particular and his had to be perfect. It was a fun time.

Especially for Mike, but a good laugh for everyone!

Every year, Michael gives Rachel a hard time about not liking Candied Yams. So, she promised him this year that she would try some. We had to get it on tape for evidence. We were all laughing so hard, but she did it.

So, Mike, you can't bug her anymore. Ok, well, you can. We don't care. It's funny!

I can't get the video to turn, so sorry - lay on your side to watch this!

Day after Thanksgiving Dinner

We headed for lunch to a new place we'd never been. We went to the Spaghetti Warehouse. It was in an old train station, and there were still trains passing by as we ate. There was an old trolley in the middle that some people were eating in. It was good food and a good time.

Since we weren't in Utah for the traditional Jackson Christmas Celebration, we tried to re-enact it the best we could. We headed to the movie theater for the family movie, Bolt. It was a very cute movie and Marshel and Kellee became the characters for many days following.

Decorating the Tree

The day after Thanksgiving we got the tree and ornaments and went to town. Nate enjoyed watching everyone put the tree together.

Snickers and Chewie

Chewie and Snickers love being outside. They play so well together and love being next to each other. Snickers is always curled up right next to Chewie.
