Marshel Loses his 1st tooth

What an adventure this was! He has had a loose tooth for about a week. He talks about it all the time and shows everyone. Finally, yesterday, he came home from school showing everyone how far forward he could pull it. We told him the different options for it coming out (falling out on its own, pulling it). He flip-flopped about 10 times: Pull it out; No, let it fall out on it's own; Pull it out; and on and on. Finally, he said he really wanted us to pull it out. It came out without a hitch. He was so proud; he ran around to all of his friends who were outside, showing them the hole that was there.

Of course, the tooth fairy brought him $1. He can't wait to go spend it at the arcade, playing games. I'm sure he's at school right now showing all the kids and teachers. It was a big event for him.

New House

Finally! We've closed on our house here in Texas. After a year of waiting, it's finally happened. Granted, it's the 3rd house we've contracted on, but this one is a keeper. After closing today, we began putting up ceiling fans, sealing the grout, painting the garage, etc. We are hoping to be moved in within the next week. I'll post pictures soon.

YEAH! I can finally unpack!

Our 1st trip to a Texas Beach

After living here in Texas for almost a year now, we decided it was time to hit the beach. So, we packed up the trailer and headed south. Arriving at midnight in Rockport Beach, we hit the hay pretty quick. The next morning after organizing and having breakfast and a few quick trips to Walmart, we headed for the beach.

Rockport Beach is a great beach for families. The shallow area goes out about 1/4 mile, with small wavelets. We walked forever with the water only going up to about my thighs. Kellee and Marshel loved playing near the edge without their life jackets on.

We found many hermit crabs, saw fish swimming around us, built sand castles and buried the kids in the sand. We spent two days there before heading back home. The kids didn't want to leave, but we promised we'd come back another time. We can't wait to go again.

This could be the beginning of a beautiful relationship

Hi everyone. Okay, after many people bugging me and a few attempts at this, here I go. I'm moving into the world of blogging. I hope it will help me keep up with the many things that happen in our world, rather than hoping I remember them later. So, join me on this wild ride. Keep checking in - hopefully I'll keep this up to date.

"Blog" to everyone soon!!!
